Mochi Mode
A mod that adds an easy-low consequence mode that can be enabled per player. Not everyone enjoys difficulty.
About this Mod
Have you found yourself in this situation?
- You want to play Minecraft with someone.
- They don't want to play because it's too stressful.
- The consequences of dying in the game are too harsh for them.
- They just want a relaxed experience without having to worry too much.
- They don't like to constantly remake tools because it is tedious.
If so, I have the solution for you, introducing:
The Mochi Mode Mod
This mod does the following:
- Only players with Mochi Mode enabled will have these abilities that will help them play Minecraft.
- Allows admins to enable Mochi Mode for multiple players, so everyone can have fun playing Minecraft, even the newbies.
- Upon taking damage that would have killed them, instead of dying, they get teleported to their bed or spawn. Upon teleportation, they are given speed and absorption for two minutes.
- Items now have infinite durability for them. As the durability reaches 0, they will get a replenished tool with full durability. (We are not responsible for any apocalypse scenarios with this mechanic interacting with other mods.)
- And much more to come in the future.
How to use?
- To give a player mochi status, do
/mochimode toggle_mochi_status [player] - To see a player's mochi status, do
/mochimode get_mochi_status [player] - If you are a mochi, you can activate and deactivate your powers at will using
/mochimode activateand/mochimode deactivate
Note: I made this mod for my Girlfriend, so it's features only pertain to her wants and needs.

Mochi Mode server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Mochi Mode compatible with forge?
Mochi Mode officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Mochi Mode – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Mochi Mode consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
