About this Mod

Itamio Mod Stamp

(Mod Config Visualizer - old name)

What it does:

  • Makes it so that you can edit mod configs in the minecraft game, no need to edit in notepad or some other things.
  • Has auto config detectors, meaning you dont need to manually specify what mods have which config files (most of the time, sometimes you might need to manually add)
  • User friendly add button, when adding config files, shows a file pick that is already in the config folder, so no annoying process of finding the correct minecraft instance's minecraft/config folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

ModConfigEditor server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.8.9). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is ModConfigEditor compatible with forge?

ModConfigEditor officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.8.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with ModConfigEditor – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if ModConfigEditor consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
