Weapon Types:
Glaive - Longer Attack Reach, Slow Reload, Bigger when in Hand
Katana - Longer Attack Reach, Fast Reload, Bigger when in Hand
Mace - Longer Attack Reach, High Knockback, Bigger when in Hand
Hammer - High Attack Damage, Very Slow Reload, Used in Crafting



The Forge:
Similar to a crafting table, but with furnace fueling!
Takes shapeless and shaped recipes.
All tools made of ingots or gems are now made in the forge
The following recipe example is Prismarite, a Netherite alternative tool tier


Hammering:
Dusts- Can be Smelted into Ingots, but only in the Blast Furnace
Coal Powder becomes Coke when Smelted
Netherite and Prismarite Dust are made with 8 Ores instead of 3
Mod Compatibility Will Come in the Future



Coal Chunks:
Essentially Nuggets for Coal, Each Coal Chunk Smelts 1 Item
Third Row is Coke


Amethyst:
Amethyst can be Compacted into Storage Blocks
Amethyst Shards now act as Nuggets for Amethyst
Diamonds now have Shards as well


Leather:
Rotten Flesh Can be Smelted into Flesh
Flesh Acts as a Nugget for Leather


Archaeology:
Brush - Used to Brush Away at Suspicious Dirt, Sand, and Gravel in Dig Sites
Chisel - Used to Chisel Away at Suspicious Stone in Dig Sites
Dig Sites come in both Dirt and Sand Variants


Miscellaneous Items:
Chainmail - Used to Craft Chainmail Armour
Pearl - Obtained from Clams When Killed with Chisels
Shell - Found on Beaches
Rocks - Found in Plains
Copper Screw - Obtained through Archaeology
Plank - A Crafting Item For a Variety of Items
Adobe Brick - Used to Make Adobe Brick Blocks, Are Crafted in the Forge

How to Install Modest Mining on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Modest Mining". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Modest Mining server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Modest Mining compatible with forge?
Modest Mining officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.19.4, 1.19.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Modest Mining – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Modest Mining consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
