About this Mod
Browse and install mods without leaving Minecraft
Modrinth Direct replaces the ModMenu Mods button with a fully functional in-game
mod browser backed by the official Modrinth API. Find the mod you need, click Install,
restart — done. No browser, no launcher switching, no manual file management.

This mod requires the following to be installed:

🚀 How to use
- Install all required dependencies listed above.
- Drop the Modrinth Direct
.jarinto yourmods/folder. - Launch Minecraft 1.21.11 with Fabric.
- Click Mods on the title screen — the Modrinth browser opens.
- Search for a mod, select it, and click Install.
- Restart the game when you're ready to load the new mods.
🔧 Technical notes
- Modrinth Direct is client-side only. It does not need to be installed on a server.
- Installed mod metadata is stored in
mods/.modrinth-direct/installed-mods.json. - The mod hooks into the ModMenu button via a Mixin, so ModMenu must be present.
- Internet access is required for search and downloads.

How to Install Modrinth Direct on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Modrinth Direct". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Modrinth Direct server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
