About this Mod

I've been fascinated by crustaceans since I was a kid, and I have always fantasized about crabs being added to Minecraft one day. However, their failure to make it in the 1.21 mob vote left me feeling disappointed. So, I created this mod.

This mod will add several species of crustaceans to the game to enhance the fun of exploring various biomes. Most of the creatures are edible, while a few have other uses that you'll need to discover for yourself.

These creatures added currently have real-life counterparts, and you can refer to their scientific names on my GitHub for translation and submit them to me.

Future plans:

Complete the roster of creatures, with some shellfish.
Maybe more Fantacy creature ?More Adventure elements?

How to Install More Crustacean on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.3).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "More Crustacean". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

More Crustacean server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
