About this Mod
Multiplayer Isolation
A serverside Minecraft mod that aims to hide all relevant information about other online players except for in-game entities.
Features
- Hides player names in chat (Death messages, join/leave messages, etc.)
- Hides player chat messages (including commands such as
/msgand/me) - Hides player names in the player list
- Hides player names in chat autocomplete
- Prevents players from brute-forcing player names by using
/msgor/tell - Keeps player entities visible
- Fully Configurable
NOTES
- Player skins are only visible when installed on the client (this is due to limitiations given how minecraft is written)
This mod works well with mods such as Simple Voice Chat, and Localized Chat (make sure to enable chat messages in the config).
NOTE: VOICE CHAT MODS DON'T HIDE THE NAMES OF PLAYERS IN THE VOICE CHAT UI, A SOLUTION FOR THIS IS IN THE WORKS.

Multiplayer Isolation server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Multiplayer Isolation compatible with fabric?
Multiplayer Isolation officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Multiplayer Isolation – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Multiplayer Isolation consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
