This mod adds the Mysterious Contractor, you'll never get to see him, but he sees you. He occasionally provides you with a task, going from easy to somewhat difficult, with great rewards!

About this Mod
Welcome to the Mysterious Contractor! This mod adds the Mysterious Contractor, an entity that is technically not an entity, but it's there trust me!
The Mysterious Contractor occasionally provides you with a little task, which you can choose to do at any time, if you do it will provide you with a reward that fits your task's difficulty well.
Quests can vary from simple quests, like kill 13 zombies, or 12 spiders. Not for you? It also adds rougher quests that involve killing the most dangerous creatures of all, like the Ravager, or other well-equipped players! Careful now, you can risk your life getting wrecked by these mobs, but all progress on quests resets if you die!
This mod is intended to be played on multiplayer, as the Legendary Quest requires you to be able to kill players. I will at some point release an update that changes this to something else in Singleplayer! :)

How to Install Mysterious Contractor on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Mysterious Contractor". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
