netfix is a compatibility mod that resolves networking issues caused by the outdated version of Netty in older Minecraft versions.

What It Does

netfix backports modern Netty (version 4.2.12, to be precise) in order to fix these issues. It also implements features from https://github.com/Fallen-Breath/fast-ip-ping.

What It Fixes

If you're experiencing unexplained connection issues, crashes related to networking, or server pinging not working properly, netfix may resolve them instantly.

How to Install netfix on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set legacy-fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the legacy-fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.8.9).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "netfix". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
