Overview:

Nethelurgy is a vanilla-friendly mod that focuses on adding new useful resources to the Nether, to make it more worthwhile to visit and to make the midgame more interesting.

Resources:

Ignite

A fiery hot gem that can be found anywhere in the Nether outside of Soul Sand Valleys. It can be used as a potent fuel source - burning for longer than Coal, or as an ingredient for crafting Blaze Powder. And while it's not as abundant as Coal, Ignite Ore is far easier to spot thanks to it's distinct glow.  

Tungsten

Dense, heavy, and highly heat resistant metal that can uncommonly be found anywhere in the Nether, but appears more frequently below lava level. It can be used to create gear that's a tier between Iron and Diamond. Tungsten tools are slower than Iron but hit harder and can harvest stronger materials, while Tungsten armor provides fire resistance, knockback resistance and slightly more defense than Iron. Due to their high heat resistance Tungsten items are lavaproof - just like Netherite, but they also take twice as long to smelt...

Basalt Iron Ore

Can commonly be found anywhere Basalt can be found in the Nether, making Basalt Deltas a reliable source of iron - assuming you can navigate it's terrain.

Blackstone Diamond Ore

In most biomes it's rarer than Ancient Debris due to their low concentration of Blackstone, but it's far more common in the Basalt Deltas where it appears more frequently than diamond ores in the Overworld.

Packed Netherrack

On it's own, it's just a storage block for Netherrack. But with Create installed, it can be crushed into Nether Quartz and Gold Nuggets... and very rarely, Netherite Scrap!

Misc:

Searing

A tool enchantment that automatically smelts ores, logs and other smeltable blocks (incompatible with Silk Touch and Fortune), and briefly sets entities on fire. Can rarely be found in Bastions and Nether Fortresses or obtained from villager trading.

Potions of Decay

The Wither effect now has it's own potion, just like in Bedrock Edition. It can be brewed with a Wither Rose and Awkward Potions.

Vanilla Changes:

Red Nether Bricks

Missing blocks have been added to the Red Nether Brick block set (cracked bricks, chiseled bricks and fence). Also added Nether Brick and Red Nether Brick Fence Gates.   

Piglin Brutes

Now drop Netherite Scrap with a 55% chance that scales with looting. At looting 3, the drop is guaranteed.  

Netherite Armor

Now has 10% fire resistance per piece (configurable)  

Gold Armor

Now has 15% magic resistance per piece (configurable)

Compatibility:

Create - compatibility recipes, crushed raw tungsten

Quark - compatibility recipes, hoe harvesting

Spelunkery - compatibility recipes, raw tungsten nugget

Farmer's Delight - tungsten knife

Clayworks - decorated pot trim compatibility
