About this Mod

Nether Floating Islands

Nether Floating Islands is a data pack that seeks to build upon the vanilla floating islands world generation that existed before 1.18, but for the Nether. All biomes and structures exist, along with floating lava pools (all done with aquifers).

Overworld Floating Islands

This pack is meant to be a companion pack for Revamped Floating Islands, which affects the Overworld instead.

FAQ

"Is this compatible with this Data Pack / Mod?"
- If it changes terrain, no. If it adds biomes, it will be partially compatible (biomes may look weird depending on how they are implemented).

How to Install Nether Floating Islands on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).

Set datapack Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Nether Floating Islands". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
