About this Mod
NetherInfection: The Inevitable Invasion
The Nether is no longer bound to its own dimension. It is expanding into yours.
NetherInfection redefines Minecraft survival by introducing a dynamic corruption mechanic. The Nether is no longer just a destination accessed through a portal; it is a plague spreading across your world. Flora dies, the ground converts into netherrack, and the atmosphere becomes hostile. This mod challenges you to survive in an environment that is slowly transforming into a living hell.
Key Features
Dynamic Spread: The infection spreads from block to block, consuming Overworld biomes and replacing them with a Nether ecosystem.
Radical Transformation: Trees, grass, and structures are not safe. Every aspect of the landscape will eventually change.
Hardcore Survival: As the infection takes hold, surface resources become increasingly scarce, forcing you to adapt to a rapidly deteriorating environment.
Critical Warning
This mod is powerful and destructive by design.
Protect your builds: It is strongly advised that you do not use this mod on your primary survival saves or any world containing important structures.
Backups: Always create a backup of your world before installing or loading this mod. Once the infection spreads, the changes to the landscape are permanent.
Development Status
The project is currently in its Beta phase.
Unstoppable Infection: At this stage of development, the infection cannot be stopped or cured. There is currently no containment method available, meaning you are playing against the clock.
Active Development: This project is under frequent development. Updates are released often to improve balancing, add new infected blocks, and optimize performance.
