About this Mod

Never Tick Alone is a server-side-only mod to suspend the world from updating when no players are online.

Useful for servers that don't want players to have automated resource gathering when not present,

or just for saving a few CPU cycles.

Only supports dedicated servers.

When no players are connected to a server, it will stop ticking the World entirely, and reduce the Server Thread to 3 TPS.

How to Install Never Tick Alone on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.17.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Never Tick Alone". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
