No Beef Steaks
NoBeefSteaks is another basic mod that applies many negative status effects with maximum amplifiers when an entity attempts to eat raw beef or steak.
This is actually an extension to my other NoPorkChops mod which you can view on my page!
Features
This is an extreme exaggeration of the prohibition of killing or eating cows in Hinduism as it is considered sacred in many cultures.
It gives the following effects for 27 seconds at their maximum survival level with the normal ticks per second:
- Bad Omen: Level 5
- Unluck: Level 3
- Weakness: Level 1
- Mining Fatigue: Level 3
- Wither: Level 2
- Levitation: Level 5
- Slowness: Level 4
- Poison: Level 2
- Hunger: Level 3
- Blindness: Level 1
- Darkness: Level 1
- Nausea: Level 1

This mod is put under the MPL-2.0 license under weak copyleft. Feel free to use the source code in closed-source projects, however you must release modifications if you change any part in this.

How to Install NoBeefSteaks on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "NoBeefSteaks". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

NoBeefSteaks server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if NoBeefSteaks consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
