About this Mod
Description
This mod removes the vanilla jump critical hit mechanic from Minecraft. In the base game, jumping while attacking can trigger a critical hit that deals extra damage — however, this mechanic can feel clunky, inconsistent, or unwanted for some players or modded combat systems. This mod eliminates jump crits entirely, creating a more grounded and controllable combat experience.
Instead of relying on jump-based crits, this mod introduces two new attributes to enable a more modern and customizable critical hit system:
🗡️ Crit Chance: By default set to 0.05 (5%), this attribute represents the probability that any given hit will be a critical hit.
💥 Crit Damage: Set to 1.5, this attribute defines the damage multiplier applied when a crit occurs (in this case, +50% more damage).
These attributes can be modified through commands, datapacks, or other mods, giving full control over how critical hits work in your game or modpack. Whether you're designing a full RPG system or just want to streamline combat, this mod provides a clean foundation for alternative crit mechanics.
