About this Mod
NorseMC
The first mod in the RiordanMC Series.It adds items, blocks, materials, armor and more from Norse Mythology into Minecraft.
Mod Features:
Mjolnir (Thor's Hammer): Call down lightning and explosions! Right click for lightning, Left click for one-shot. Crafting Recipe is on the WikiBlood: Drops when a player dies. Used to craft Bone Steel.
Bone Steel Ingot: A new material. Crafting recipe is in images on website or the Wiki.
Bone Steel Weapons and Armor: Better than Netherite! Armor gives you buffs when wearing it. How to craft them is on the Wiki
Red Gold: Currently has no use, but it is the currency of the Gods.
Fabric: Used to make the Hotel Valhalla Jeans and T-Shirt. Crafted using 1 white wool.

How to Install NorseMC on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "NorseMC". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

NorseMC server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is NorseMC compatible with forge?
NorseMC officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.18. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with NorseMC – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if NorseMC consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
