About this Mod
Not Just Mushrooms is a decoration-focused mod that adds blocks and items I can’t believe never made it into vanilla.
I mean… how did we end up with all these mushrooms, but no way to stick them to walls or ceilings?
Mushrooms are the starting point, with other decorative and semi-functional additions planned over time.
What's in the mod!
Mushroom lamp - A redstone powered mushroom lamp that can be placed almost anywhere! You can change its initial state by sneaking while placing it, or by right-clicking it with a redstone torch. You can also use levers, buttons, or any other redstone items to power it!
Planned mushrooms features (when I have time):
- monster construction kit
- more mushroom stuff
- some non-mushroom stuff (otherwise the name of the mod would be misleading)

How to Install Not Just Mushrooms on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Not Just Mushrooms". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Not Just Mushrooms server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Not Just Mushrooms compatible with neoforge?
Not Just Mushrooms officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Not Just Mushrooms – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Not Just Mushrooms consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
