About this Mod
🔗 Integration with Last.fm
A mod for integrating information about the current track from YouTube Music, Spotify, SoundCloud, and other services directly into Minecraft chat.
Supports both client and server modes.
The mod launches a local HTTP server athttp://127.0.0.1:18080, which receives data about the current playback from the browser.

Server
/nowplay lastfm api <key>— sets the Last.fm API key globally on the server/nowplay lastfm <username>— changes the Last.fm nickname- locally for the player
- globally (if executed from the console)
Client
/nowplayor/np— sends the current track to chat/nowplay gor/np g— sends!<message>/nowplay lastfm <username>— changes the Last.fm nickname locally on the client/nowplay lastfm api <key>— saves the API key locally
💡 If both the server and client have the mod installed, both command groups are available.

How to Install NowPlaying (last.fm) on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "NowPlaying (last.fm)". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

NowPlaying (last.fm) server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is NowPlaying (last.fm) compatible with fabric?
NowPlaying (last.fm) officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.6. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with NowPlaying (last.fm) – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if NowPlaying (last.fm) consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
