Oak and Ember Economy
This project adds a basic economy, auction house, and mob kill rewards.
About this Mod
Intro
This adds the following economy functionality:
Each player has a wallet/balance.
Killing mobs gives money.
/bal {Username} - returns the balance of that player's wallet
/pay {Username} {Amount} - send that player a certain amount of money
/openmarket - Opens a screen where players can:
- View/buy existing items for sale
- Put items up for sale (Either for a set price or via bidding)
How To Install
In order to function properly, this mod requires installation on both the server and the client. Simply drop the .jar file directly into the mods folder, and everything should work.
After running the server once, you should find a config folder where you can change the rewards for mob kills.
Future plans:
- My own chest shop-type functionality
- Interoperability with other chest shops
- Interoperability with many other projects (real estate, factions, etc.)
Why would you want this economy mod?
It is currently in alpha. It is small, there are only a few features, and there will be bugs. You don't (yet) want this mod, but I would be grateful if you decide to test it out and report bugs anyway.
In the future, you'll want this one because I will be focusing on:
- Having updates out quickly
- A large ecosystem of related mods
- Interoperability with other unrelated mods
