FAQ
FAQ
Q: Why did you make this for 1.12? Isn't that a lot of unnecessary work?A: I started development on this mod in 2018, and it was the first Minecraft mod I ever developed to completion. Rather than abandon the work done so far, I decided to just finish the 1.12 mod, as it is better to release the mod rather than attempt to keep with the latest version.
Q: Why are some of the content backports, and others fully original?
A: When this mod began development, there weren't many mods backporting content from 1.13 well; so the original purpose of this mod was backporting. Working on it though, I expanded upon parts of 1.13 I felt were lacking such as the Trident, and soon enough began adding more unique content based on what I'd like out of an ocean mod.
Q: Will you port this mod past 1.12 / When will it be on [newer version]?
A: If I port this mod to a later version, many features will need to be changed/altered. As such, expect it to be a sequel, like Oceanic Expanse 2: Electric Jellyfish!!1!
Also, please don't beg for a port. This is not my job, nor is it my duty. I will port it if I want to, when I want to.
Q: Will you add X feature?
I have multiple documents used for planning, expect them to be made public in the future. As for adding features, I am very picky on what I want to add. So many things you might want (like sharks) will likely never be added.
