Omniterra Calendar

Omniterra Calendar

The Omniterra Calendar mod is extremely basic and provides a daily message in the chat to tell you what day of the week, day, month, and year it is. This mod uses a custom made date system to fit the theme and potential lore of Minecraft.

About this Mod

I searched for a date tracking/calendar mod and could not find one to build lore in my world. So with the work of many hours of YT videos and chatGPT I have created this VERY basic mod. All it does is sent a chat at the beginning of everyday letting you know what day it is off a calendar system I created.

I made a calendar graphic that is available in the gallery. If you would like to download the full size here a link to it from Google Drive:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OTmODouM_elUNONHWY10Zrl0hB5on-XW/view?usp=drive_link

(Please note that calendar graphic was made entirely by me apart from the pixel art images which are generated using chatGPT. I support human artists but this is a simple side project with no intention to making money so I just whipped up something quick.)

Please feel free to use however you would like to use this. There is no need for you to ask to use in modpacks if you wish, but I would love to see your pack if you do use it :). Lastly, it is very unlikely I will update this unless there is a demand for it.

Have fun!

Frequently Asked Questions

Omniterra Calendar server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Omniterra Calendar compatible with forge?

Omniterra Calendar officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Omniterra Calendar – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Omniterra Calendar consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
