About this Mod
OP Ruby Addon (Fabric)
This mod adds a vanilla-friendly Ruby as a rare, late-game resource to Minecraft. Rubies are designed to reward deep exploration and progression beyond diamond, while staying consistent with the vanilla experience.
Ruby ore generates naturally deep underground in caves and can also be found inside woodland mansions. The ore can be mined with a diamond pickaxe or better. Mining ruby ore yields Ruby Scraps, which can be crafted into full Rubies.
Rubies are primarily used for villager trading. The Armorer is the only villager profession that values rubies and offers powerful trades in return, including enchantment table–style enchantments for Netherite armor when the correct amount of rubies is provided. This makes rubies a valuable late-game currency rather than a replacement for emeralds.
