About this Mod

This mod adds a total of 16 storage items (4 bundles and 12 backpacks) each with more slots, 12 storage crates which also have increasingly more slots, as well as 9 advancements. All the advancements unlock recipes of the next levels of the backpacks/crates. Do NOT upgrade the backpacks with stuff inside, it will get rid of your items. No additional mods are required. Extra features like upgrades or more backpacks/crates, GUI/item sprite changes and QOL features will be added in future versions.

How to Install Open World Inventory on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.4).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Open World Inventory". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Open World Inventory server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
