About this Mod
OptiBabric (b1.7.3)
This is an OptiFabric fork for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 and a Fabric fork named Babric.
Note: This project is not related or supported by either Fabric or Optifine.
Note: This project does not contain Optifine, you must download it separately!
Installing
- Install Babric in a launcher of your choice that supports MultiMC format instances
- Navigate to OptiFine History
- Expand
Minecraft Beta 1.7.3spoiler - Choose an edition supported by OptiBabric
- Use the
Download, Mirrorbuttons. (Do not useDownload 1, Download 2, those are very likely to be dead for all editions) - [Optional] Apply the long distance patch to the downloaded zip
- Put the zip in Mods section in your Babric instance settings (or the mods folder), NOT the minecraft.jar
- Download OptiBabric and put it in mods as well
During the first launch, OptiBabric will find and transform the OptiFine zip to be compatible with Fabric.
This transformed version can be found at .minecraft/.optifabric/optifine-remapped.jar, but in most cases you don't need to touch it.
OptiBabric will detect if OptiFine was replaced with another edition and will rerun the procedure automatically.

OptiBabric server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (b1.7.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is OptiBabric compatible with fabric?
OptiBabric officially supports fabric for Minecraft b1.7.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with OptiBabric – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if OptiBabric consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
