OreVein — Vein Mining Mod

Fabric and NeoForge, Minecraft 26.1.2. No extra libraries — drop the jar in mods/. Per-loader jars are available, plus a universal jar that works on either loader.

What it does

Sneak + break a block to mine the whole connected vein (ores, logs, leaves, stone, building blocks). Includes an XP system that unlocks tunnel modes — 1×2, 3×3, 5×5, and Custom Size (pick two corners to define your own shape).

Features

• Vein Mining — sneak + break ores, logs, leaves, stone, building blocks. Releasing sneak cancels the rest of the vein. Water and lava act as boundaries.
• Vein Harvest — sneak + break a fully-grown crop with any hoe to harvest the whole patch and auto-replant.
• Mass Till — sneak + right-click dirt/grass with a Netherite Hoe to till 3×3 (scales with tunnel mode).
• Tunnel Mining — Netherite Pickaxe required for every mode. Unlocks at 500 / 2,000 / 5,000 / 7,500 XP for 1×2 / 3×3 / 5×5 / Custom.
• Custom Size — pick two corners with left-click / right-click while in Select Size mode. The saved 2D plane mines centered on each hit block, anchored 1 block below for player-height tunneling. Persists across sessions.
• Radial Menu — hold Left Alt (rebindable in Controls → Gameplay) to open. Toggle modes, start Custom selection, etc.
• Enchantments — Efficiency speeds vein mining, Fortune / Silk Touch / Unbreaking all apply as vanilla.

XP & death

1 XP per pickaxe block break. Dying wipes your XP and disables tunnel mode. Check progress with /miningxp.

Tool tiers (vein mining)

• Iron+ for gold ore, redstone, packed/blue ice
• Diamond+ for diamond / emerald ore
• Netherite for ancient debris and obsidian

Configuration

Edit config/orevein.json. Key options:

• maxVeinSize* — per-category vein caps (ores 64, logs 128, leaves 256, stone 64)
• tunnel*UnlockXP — XP thresholds per mode
• maxCustomSize — max dimension per axis (default 9)
• enable1x2Tunnel / enable3x3Tunnel / enable5x5Tunnel — mode toggles
• enforceToolTiers, stopAtDurability
• Whitelist / blacklist by block ID or tag

Modded ore support example:
