About this Mod

Paleolithic Era

Paleolithic Era transforms Minecraft’s earliest days into a raw, unforgiving struggle for survival.
Forget punching trees — your journey begins with bare hands, sharp eyes, and the wild’s harsh lessons.

In this primitive overhaul, every tool, meal, and weapon must be earned through ingenuity: shape flint at the Knapping Station, harness flame with a Fire Drill, and master early hunting with spears and harpoons. Forage dangerous berries and healing herbs, craft hide armor, and adapt to an untamed world where even lighting a fire is an accomplishment.

But you’re not alone out there — wild boar roam the forests, a source of meat and hide, and more prehistoric wildlife is coming. Medicinal herbs such as yarrow, chamomile, and wild garlic grow across different biomes, each offering minor buffs that echo their Paleolithic uses. The world will continue to expand with new fauna, plants, and survival systems as development goes on — and community ideas are welcome!

Welcome to use this in any modpack!

Key Features

  • Knapping Station for shaping flint, bone, and stone into essential tools
  • Crude Campfire for early cooking — requires ignition tools
  • Wild plants like elderberries, yarrow, and other herbs with useful and risky effects
  • Wooden & bone spears, plus a harpoon fishing minigame for catching fish
  • New fauna, Boars, integrated into hunting and crafting loops
  • Stage-based advancements to guide your path without hand-holding
  • A focus on slowing down the early game and expanding survival challenges

Getting Started

  • Stones come from gravel and sand — sticks are found in leaves and wild shrubs
  • Knap flint into blades before you can even gather plant fibers
  • Fire requires you to craft a Fire Drill
  • Knives can strip logs for fibers and bark
  • Early weapons are crude but essential for defense and hunting
  • Wild animals may be both food and threat
  • Seek out plants for food and buffs — but some berries can be dangerous

Every night survived is a victory.
Every tool crafted is a step toward mastery.
Do you have what it takes to thrive in the Paleolithic Era?

➡️ Ideas from the community are always welcome! If you’d like to see a particular animal, plant, or mechanic added, share your thoughts — they might shape the next stage of survival.
