A simple mod that adds lightsabers to Minecraft in a vanilla-feeling way!

About this Mod
A long long time ago in a galaxy far fary away, an amethyst asteriod crashed onto a little planet. The asteriod shattered into thousands of pieces which were buried deep underground. Using these new crystals, the ancient builders discovered a way to create a powerful weapon. For centuries the recipe was lost, but genius minds worked together to discover it once again. And now it's your turn. May the force be with you.
How to make lightsabers

Combine an amethyst shard with red, green, blue, white, or purple dye in a crafting table to get a colored amethyst shard.
Combine two colored amethyst shards with a netherite ingot in a smithing table to get a colored netherite ingot.
With the netherite ingot, right click a block of amethyst to transform it into a colored amethyst block.
Right click the colored amethyst block four more times to grow the kyber crystal.
Once the kyber crystal is fully grown, you can mine it with a diamond pickaxe (or any diamond-level or higher pickaxe) to get the kyber crystal.
Stack two iron ingots on top of each other in the crafting table to make lightsaber hilts.
Put the lightsaber hilt in the bottom left corner of the crafting table, the kyber crystal in the middle, and a colored amethyst shard (matching the color of the kyber crystal) in the top right corner. And you have just made your very own lightsaber!
This mod is in really early development, as I am working on other projects at the same time, eventually I will expand on this, adding to the lore and customization of the lightsabers :)

How to Install PBP Lightsabers on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "PBP Lightsabers". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

PBP Lightsabers server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is PBP Lightsabers compatible with forge and neoforge?
PBP Lightsabers officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with PBP Lightsabers – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if PBP Lightsabers consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
