About this Mod
Part of the Create: Astral modpack.
This is an addon for the Ad Astra mod that introduces some bugfixes and additions the developers of Create: Astral felt were missing.
This (so far) includes:
- Being able to turn the Jet Suit on and off
- A hover mode for the Jet Suit akin to Iron Jetpacks
- Customizable Particles for the Jet Suit. You can currently select between bubbles, end rod and soul fire.
- Fixed lava being converted to ice when placed in space
- Added Thruster Boots as the precursor to the Jet Suit at the Netherite Space Suit tier
As this is intended to be a part of the Create: Astral modpack, it will follow the Minecraft Version in use by the modpack, which currently means Fabric 1.18.2.

How to Install Per Aspera on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.18.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Per Aspera". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Per Aspera server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.18.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Per Aspera compatible with fabric?
Per Aspera officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.18.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Per Aspera – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Per Aspera consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
