🐶 Relay Mod: Collect various pets with unique abilities by completing actions in-game.
About this Mod
Various collectable pets are added to the game. During in-game tasks such as chopping wood, swimming and killing monsters they can be added to the player's inventory. Each pet has a unique ability!
Pet Collecting was made via the Relay modding principle. Each participant had 4 hours to complete their part of the code, before it was send to the next person. The time limit comes with challenges! Everyone has their own programming style and strengths. With it being relayed 5 times, the initial mod took 20 hours to complete. There will be mod updates in the future.
There are currently 14 pets added to the game:

The Air Pet
Can be encountered by flying with an elytra.
The Animal Pet
Can be encountered by slaying animals.
The Dirt Pet
Can be encountered by digging dirt blocks.
The End Pet
Can be encountered by slaying the End Dragon.
The Grass Pet
Can be encountered by walking through tall grass.
The Lava Pet
Can be encountered by swimming in lava.
Monster Pet
Can be encountered by slaying hostile mobs.
Petal Pet
Can be encountered by breaking flowers.
Player Pet
Can be encountered by player deaths.
Potion Pet
Can be encountered by brewing potions.
Sand Pet
Can be encountered by digging sand.
Stone Pet
Can be encountered by breaking stone-type blocks.
Water Pet
Can be encountered by swimming in water.
Wood Pet
Can be encountered by chopping down trees.

How to Install Pet Collecting on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.19.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Pet Collecting". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Pet Collecting server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Pet Collecting compatible with forge?
Pet Collecting officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.19.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Pet Collecting – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Pet Collecting consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
