About this Mod

logo

Pixel Loot is an innovative Forge mod designed specifically for the Pixelmon universe. It revolutionizes the player experience by introducing a dynamic reward system based on various in-game events. This mod not only enriches the Pixelmon gameplay but also adds a layer of excitement and surprise with its customizable rewards.

Event-Based Rewards: Pixel Loot triggers rewards for players upon completing specific events like defeating wild Pokémon, capturing legendary Pokémon, or conquering bosses. Each event offers a unique reward experience.

CUSTOMIZABLE REWARDS SYSTEM: Server admins can tailor the rewards for each event, controlling both the probability of triggering rewards and the specific rewards themselves. This includes items, Pokémon, or any command-executable reward.

Extensive Configurability: From the odds of receiving rewards to the specific items given, everything is configurable. This allows for a highly personalized gaming experience, adaptable to any server's theme or difficulty level.

Rich Player Experience: Players enjoy a more immersive and rewarding gameplay, with each action potentially leading to exciting rewards. This system also encourages players to engage more with various aspects of the Pixelmon mod.

Dependencies: To ensure a seamless integration, Pixel Loot ONLY requires PIXELMON and FORGE.

PIXEL LOOT IS INTENDED ONLY FOR SERVERS. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SINGLE PLAYER USE!!!!

Event-Based Rewards:

Defeating Wild Pokemon:
Killing Pokemon
Capturing Wild Pokemon:

Defeating Trainers:

Capturing a Legendary Pokemon:

Configurations:

Config.yml: This is the config that contains all the settings and rewards.

config.yml

All configs are generated by default when the mod is first loaded in the server and can be found in config/pixelloot

kill: #This is the event that triggers it for example this is when a wild pokemon is defeated

enabled: true #You can choose to enable or disable any of the triggers

chance: 25 #The chance of this event triggering the rewards this would be a 25% chance

rewards: #Here you can list as many rewards as you'd like in the same format you see below.

'0': #The ID of the reward this number should always increase by 1 when making new rewards

name: §bDiamond #The name of the reward to be displayed when a player gets a reward you can use the & sign for colors

chance: 25 #The chance of this reward being the one picked when the event is triggered

commands: #Only 1 command can be done with a reward so dont try to use multiple in one reward

                - give %player% diamond #The command the console should run when this triggered. Any form of commands can be used even spigot commands. You can use %player% as the placeholder for the players name

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO CHANGE THE REWARDS BEFORE PUTTING YOUR SERVER IN PRODUCTION BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST RANDOM ITEMS!!!!

Lang.yml: This is the lang config that contains all messages which can be changed to fit your needs.
lang.yml

The lang file comes generated with default messages as seen above. You can & for colors and you can use {rewardname} as a placeholder. {rewardname} grabs the name of the reward from the config file and uses whatever color is associated with it. For example §bDiamond would be Diamond.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pixel Loot server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Pixel Loot compatible with forge?

Pixel Loot officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.4, 1.20.3, 1.20.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Pixel Loot – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Pixel Loot consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
