PMTemperature
Integrates popular temperature mods with ProtoManly's Weather
About this Mod
PMTemperature
This mod adds compatibility between temperature mods, including Cold Sweat and/or Tough as Nails, and ProtoManly's Weather Mod by integrating their temperature systems together.
Features
- Cold Sweat / TaN world temperatures will directly correspond with the temperature calculated by PMWeather
- Rain cooling has been localized according to PMWeather's precipitation system
Apparent Temperature (optional)
- Simulates how the human body perceives and reacts to temperature in real life. Apparent temperature describes the modified temperature supplied to Cold Sweat when this feature is active
- Wind chill will take effect for temperatures below 0°C. It depends on the local wind speed; for example, a passing squall in a snowy biome may lower the apparent temperature up to 10° below the world temperature
- For temperatures above 19°C, humidity will raise the apparent temperature. Jungles and other hot/humid biomes are most affected by this change
Compatibility
- Cold Sweat and TaN will use their default climate systems in dimensions where PMWeather isn't enabled
- Serene Seasons is still supported by proxy of PMWeather's own temperature system
Issues & Support
Please report all issues either on GitHub or in the designated thread in the PMWeather discord server. DO NOT report temperature issues to ProtoManly, Glitchfiend or Mikul when this is installed. It's a waste of time for both you and the developers.
FAQ
Q: When will this be updated to [X]?
A: Whenever both PMWeather and at least 1 temperature mod become available on that version.
Q: How strong are the apparent temperature effects?
A: The mod implements the wind chill and Humidex formulas used by Environment Canada. Try out this calculator if you want to mess around with the values.

PMTemperature server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is PMTemperature compatible with neoforge?
PMTemperature officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with PMTemperature – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if PMTemperature consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
