About this Mod
Polydex2EIV
Bridging the Gap Between Polymer and EIV — Let Your Recipes Be Seen
📦 What is Polydex2EIV?
Polydex2EIV is a compatibility addon that connects Polymer and EIV (Extended ItemView), enabling full support for virtual items and custom recipes defined by Polydex.
By default, EIV cannot recognize Polymer’s server-side virtual items, leading to missing entries in recipe viewers and item lookups. Polydex2EIV fixes that.
🔧 Features
- ✅ Makes Polymer virtual items visible in EIV
- 📘 Supports custom recipes registered via the Polydex API
- 🔄 Synchronizes item lookup actions — clicking or keypress correctly opens the recipe page
- 💡 Works with both server-side and client-side virtual items
- 🌐 Requires both sides installed to function properly
❓ Why Use It?
If you're a modpack creator or developer using Polymer to register virtual items (e.g. recipe placeholders, guide items, UI buttons), you’ve likely run into the issue: EIV can’t find them. This addon solves that cleanly — no extra setup, just plug and play.
🧩 Requirements
- Polymer
- EIV (A port is available in 1.21.7+: 🔜Download)
- Polydex
- Packet-Fixer
- Must be installed on both client and server
