The Popup Mod™ is a one of a kind mod that presents the player with annoying, screen-blocking popup ads that give you a new feel of appreciation when playing Minecraft.

Using our patented random ad technology you will get new and exciting ads with a nice relaxing notification sound that may or may not confuse you into thinking that you got a real notification from an app like Discord, Twitter or Skype.

We strive to create new ways of enjoying Minecraft and that's why we created multiple different types of ads to keep the experience fun and unique.

How to Install Popup on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.8.9).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Popup". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Popup server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.8.9). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Popup compatible with forge?
