Potion of Infestation Backport
Potion of Infestation Backport brings the Infested effect from Minecraft 1.21 to Fabric, Forge and NeoForge 1.20 - 1.20.6.
Entities affected by the Infested effect have a chance to spawn silverfish when they take damage.

- Backports the Infested effect and the Potion of Infestation from Minecraft 1.21
- Entities with the effect have a configurable chance to spawn silverfish when damaged
- Spawns 1–3 silverfish by default, fully configurable
- Works with players, vanilla mobs, and modded mobs

How to Install Potion of Infestation Backport on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Potion of Infestation Backport". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Potion of Infestation Backport officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
