Projectile Optimizer
Renders projectiles instantly client side to improve visual latency
About this Mod
Projectile Optimizer!
This mod improves projectile responsiveness by instantly showing thrown projectiles client-side before the server confirms them.
Information
By default, Minecraft waits for the server to spawn thrown projectiles such as ender pearls and wind charges. While this delay is barely noticeable on low ping, it becomes much more noticeable on high ping and can make projectiles feel delayed or unresponsive after being thrown. This optimizer instantly creates a temporary client-side projectile the moment the item is used, allowing the throw to appear visually on the exact tick it happens.
Once the server sends the real projectile, the temporary client-side projectile is removed and replaced by the server-confirmed one. The server still fully controls the actual projectile behavior, collision, teleportation, and damage, while the client handles the immediate visual feedback to reduce perceived latency.

Projectile Optimizer server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Projectile Optimizer compatible with fabric?
Projectile Optimizer officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Projectile Optimizer – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Projectile Optimizer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
