Qezuu - Reviving
Tired of always dying without second change? now you can have that second change
About this Mod
Reviving Mod
Reviving Mod introduces a comprehensive knockdown and rescue system to Minecraft, perfect for multiplayer adventures and hardcore survival. Instead of dying instantly, players enter a "Downed" state where teammates, or food/items can intervene to save them.
🛠 Features
🩸 Knockdown System
When a player takes fatal damage, they don't die immediately. Instead, they enter a Knockdown State:
* Death Countdown: You have 40 seconds to be revived before you truly die.
* Progressive Difficulty: Every time you are revived, your next knockdown timer is halved (40s ➔ 20s -> 10s). The timer only resets once you actually die and respawn.
* Force Sneak: Downed players are forced into a crouching position, moving slowly.
* Mob Camouflage: Hostile mobs will lose interest in you once you are downed, giving your teammates a chance to rescue you.
🆘 Revival Mechanics
- Manual Revive: Teammates can right-click you to begin a 5-second revival process.
* Big Hitbox: Rescue is easy even in thick terrain, as the interaction bypasses grass, ferns, and flowers.
💀 Give Up Mechanic
Don't want to wait? Hold Left-Click for 5 seconds while downed to "Give Up" and respawn immediately. Normal Minecraft actions (like attacking or breaking blocks) are disabled while giving up.
👁️ Visuals & UI
* Name Tags: Clearly identify state with [DOWNED] (Red) and [REVIVING] (Green) prefixes next to player names, including a live countdown.
* Action Bar: Real-time progress bars for both the person being revived and the person performing the rescue.
* Glowing Effect: Downed players glow through walls for their teammates.
Notes
This mod takes heavy inspiration from the knocked/downed state systems found in games such as PUBG, Apex Legends, and similar titles.
The main reason I created this mod is that existing revival/downed-state mods didn't quite match the gameplay experience I was looking for. Rather than trying to adapt them, I decided to create my own version that better fits my personal preferences.
Also, this is my very first Minecraft mod, so please keep that in mind. At the moment, there are no configuration options included, and I don't have any major update plans unless I find something that genuinely needs improvement or fixing.
Thanks for checking it out, and I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.
