What is Quality Repairs?
Quality Repairs is a simple mod that aims to add a few ways to keep your tools from breaking without the need of mending.
The Whetstone
The whetstone repairs tools based on how much durability it has left, repairing a tool more the closer it is to breaking. A whetstone can be used 6 times before breaking. (Also you can't repair a whetstone with another whetstone)
To use a whetstone, you can hold it in your offhand (or main hand) and your tool in your main hand (or offhand) and right click.
Alternatively, you can repair tools in your inventory by holding a whetstone with your cursor and right clicking on your tool (or vis versa).
The Altar
The altar repairs tools using xp, priced based on how close the tool is to breaking. It exchanges 1.75 durability per point of xp, so its slight worse then mending.
In the future I plan to add some more methods to repair tools and the ability to change things using configs.

How to Install Quality Repairs on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Quality Repairs". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Quality Repairs server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Quality Repairs compatible with neoforge?
Quality Repairs officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Quality Repairs – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Quality Repairs consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
