QuickSnap
Instant Minecraft screenshot sharing
About this Mod
QuickSnap
Take a screenshot. Get a link. Share it anywhere without leaving Minecraft.
QuickSnap replaces Minecraft's screenshot key with something actually useful. Hit F2, get a shareable link in your clipboard. That's it.
Preview

How it works
Hit F2 like normal. A small popup slides in from the corner with four options:
- 1 -- upload and copy the link
- 2 -- copy the image to clipboard (Windows only)
- G -- open the gallery
- Esc -- dismiss
The popup stays open while the upload runs and shows you the result. When it's done the link is already in your clipboard.
Gallery
Press G any time to open your screenshot gallery. Screenshots are sorted by world automatically. From here you can upload, copy, delete, edit effects, open the folder, or jump into settings.
Arrow keys to navigate, E or Enter to open a screenshot in the full viewer.
Overlay Effects
Want to stamp info onto your screenshots before sharing? You can. Everything is off by default -- turn on what you want:
- Coords, biome, dimension, weather, time, moon phase
- Health, hunger, XP, game mode, held item, player name
- FPS, GPU, resolution, shader pack, resource pack, mod count
- Timestamp, world name, difficulty, Minecraft version
- Custom watermark
Effects get baked in at upload time. Your original PNG on disk stays untouched. And if you've already applied effects to a screenshot, you can still go back and turn them off before uploading -- nothing is permanent until you actually share it.
Providers
| Provider | Notes |
|---|---|
| QuickSnap (default) | Hosted at screenshot.rest. Permanent. |
| Imgur | Needs a free Client ID in settings. |
| Litterbox | Temporary, expires after your chosen duration. |
| Custom | Point it at your own endpoint. |
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.1
- Fabric Loader
- Client-side only -- no server install needed
- Java 25+
Windows only: Copying the screenshot image (not the link) to clipboard uses a Windows method. It will fail silently on Linux and Mac. Link copying works everywhere.
Gallery key: G can be rebound in Options -- Controls.
Analytics
First launch shows a one-time prompt asking if you want to share usage data. If you say yes, only the upload provider name gets sent -- nothing else. No usernames, no IPs, no screenshot content. Turn it off any time in settings.

QuickSnap server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is QuickSnap compatible with fabric?
QuickSnap officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with QuickSnap – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if QuickSnap consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
