QuickStack & Craft

All-in-one inventory QoL mod combining quick stack, dump all, slot-based favorites, and craft-from-nearby-storage. Inspired by Terraria's inventory management.

Bridge the gap between a chest room and a full ME system. Quick stack keeps your chests sorted, dump clears your inventory fast, and craft-from-nearby lets you pull ingredients from surrounding containers directly into the crafting grid via JEI. No more manually searching through chests to find that one stack of redstone.

Features

Quick Stack to Nearby

Press the button or keybind to deposit items into nearby containers that already hold matching items. Prioritizes fullest containers first.

Dump All

Deposit all non-favorited inventory items to any nearby container with space.

Slot Favorites

Alt+click any inventory slot to favorite it. Favorited slots are protected from quick stack and dump. Persists through death.

Craft from Nearby (JEI Integration)

With JEI installed, the [+] button on recipes checks both your inventory AND nearby containers for ingredients. Click it to automatically pull ingredients from nearby storage into the crafting grid. Works at crafting tables and in the player inventory.

Container Highlights

After quick stacking or dumping, containers that received items glow with a gold outline and particle trail for 3 seconds.

Modded Container Support

Works with Sophisticated Storage, Iron Chests, and any mod that exposes IItemHandler capabilities. Not limited to vanilla chests.

Why This Mod?

In modded Minecraft, the jump from "room full of chests" to "full AE2/RS system" is huge. This mod makes chest-based storage actually pleasant to use:

• Sorting: Quick stack automatically deposits items into the right chests
• Crafting: Pull ingredients from nearby chests without opening each one
• Protection: Favorite your hotbar and key items so they never get deposited

Perfect for skyblock, early game, or any playthrough where you're not ready for a full storage network yet.

Dependencies

• Architectury API (required)
• Fabric API (Fabric only)
• JEI (optional, enables craft-from-nearby)

Multiplayer

Install on both the server and all clients. The server handles all item movement logic. Clients without the mod can still connect but won't have access to the features.

Configuration

Default scan radius: 8 blocks (configurable). Hotbar is skipped by default.

Keybinds

• Quick Stack: unbound (configure in Controls)
• Dump All: unbound (configure in Controls)
• Favorite Toggle: Alt + Left Click (hardcoded)
