About this Mod
Note: This Mod was originally developed by KiriCattus, they transferred ownership to me.
All currently available versions were originally compiled and published by KiriCattus.
Red Pandas
This mod does focus on one single thing, or better said two very adorable things.
Red Pandas and their cute cubs :3
Prior to 1.19 you can find them in all biomes, from 1.19 onwards they should spawn in:
- sunflower_plains
- flower_forest
- birch_forest
- old_growth_birch_forest
- jungle
- bamboo_jungle
- meadow
However, based on a couple of tests, this does not seem to work properly, I'll update the list once I have dived further into the inner workings of this mod.
Of course you can use datapacks or other mods to tinker with their spawnrates.
Future plans for the mod involve a multi-loader rewrite making this mod also available for Quilt.
Additionally, I want to give the red pandas more unique behaviors.

Is Red Pandas compatible with forge?
Red Pandas officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.19.3, 1.19.2, 1.19.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Red Pandas – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Red Pandas consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
