About this Mod
Redstone Scrambler
Adds a throwable redstone EMP item to the game.
What's it do?
When thrown, it sticks to wherever it lands and randomly forces a redstone power signal to be sent or ignored to the surrounding blocks. Kind of like an EMP but for redstone.
How do I get it?
You can craft it with 1 ender pearl, 1 amethsyt shard, 1 echo shard, and 1 redstone dust.
Okay, but why would I want this?
You can use it to mess with your friends' redstone builds, though I wouldn't recommend that since this can permanently ruin a mechanism due to it constantly powering blocks out of the intended order.
It still has many versatile usages, though. For example, you can use it:
- As a remote temporary activation signal!
- To forcibly open a redstone door so you can sneak in without (physically) breaking anything!
- To annoy everyone through noteblock/trapdoor/door/piston spam!
- As a super-fast kind-of reliable temporary redstone clock!
- For fancy light shows?
- To remotely set off bundles of TNT in your friend's base that just so happened to be there for some inexplicable reason!
- And more things that I probably didn't even think of!!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
I've tried to reduce the amount of block updates this item creates, but it should be noted that having multiple of these active at the same time can cause lag. Also, it does not play nicely with powered rails. So be careful!
