About this Mod
Render Distance Toggle
Automatically adjusts render distance when toggling shaders on/off for optimal performance. I personally switch often between on/off and play with huge render distances thanks to Bobby and Nvidium. The performance with shaders on and a render distance of 192 was having a huge impact of FPS.
This mod increases the QOL:
When you switch between shaders and vanilla rendering, your render distance stays the same - but shaders may need lower distances to maintain good FPS, especially with enhanced render distance mods like Bobby (this mod requires Bobby, to read its maximum render distance). This mod intelligently syncs your render distance with Iris shader toggles, giving you:
- Smart Distance Switching: Automatically switches to low render distance when shaders are on, and high distance when they're off
- Fully Configurable: Set your preferred low and high render distances through Mod Menu
- Seamless Integration: Works by detecting Iris's shader toggle keybind, no extra keys needed
- Adjustable Delay: Fine-tune the toggle delay to avoid conflicts (configurable 2-10 ticks)
- Requires Bobby and Iris (optionally Mod Menu and Cloth Config for in-game configuration)
Perfect for players who frequently toggle shaders for building, exploring, or taking screenshots without manually adjusting render distance each time.
