About this Mod

RuneDelta

RuneDelta expands Minecraft’s PvE and PvP progression with a deep rune-based gear system.

Discover runes, build powerful gear loadouts, master rune families, and challenge bosses as you develop specialized combat builds over time.

RuneDelta does not replace vanilla systems — it adds a new progression layer designed for long-term worlds and modpacks.

Core Concept

RuneDelta introduces a rune system for gear customization and long-term progression.

Players collect runes, upgrade them, discover their hidden properties, and combine them into powerful builds.

Key features

  • 149 unique runes
  • Up to 5 runes per item
  • Rune tiers (Tier 1 → Tier 5)
  • Rune discovery mechanics
  • Rune mastery skill trees
  • Rune family progression
  • Boss encounters and raid events
  • Build planning and loadout tools

Rune Discovery

Runes are not immediately understood.

New runes begin undiscovered, with their name and description partially hidden using enchanting-style glyphs.

Discovery occurs through use:

  • Activating runes gradually reveals their properties
  • Discovery progress is tracked in the Codex
  • Higher rarity runes require more discovery progress
  • Undiscovered runes operate at reduced effectiveness

This system encourages experimentation instead of instant optimization.

Rune Mastery

RuneDelta includes a progression skill tree that improves how players interact with runes.

Mastery branches include:

Discovery

Improves rune reveal speed and discovery efficiency.

Power

Improves rune effectiveness and proc reliability.

Acquisition

Improves rune and fragment drop rates.

Mastery progression unlocks gradually and is designed for long-term survival worlds.

Rune Families

Runes belong to different families that enable build archetypes.

Family progression includes:

  • Family mastery ranks
  • Set bonus scaling
  • Ascended mastery tiers
  • Specialized build paths

Players can develop distinct combat builds by focusing on specific rune families.

Gear Customization

Items can contain multiple runes.

Supported equipment:

  • Weapons
  • Tools
  • Armor
  • Shields

Each item can contain up to five runes, enabling complex gear builds.

Runes can be:

  • applied
  • upgraded
  • extracted
  • recombined

Boss and Endgame Systems

RuneDelta introduces scalable end-game encounters.

Major bosses drop:

  • Legendary runes
  • Utility items
  • Rune fragments

Vanilla bosses now drop weighted legendary rune rewards with duplicate protection.

Runes can also be gated by:

  • bosses
  • dungeons
  • dimensions
  • endgame content

Top-tier runes may require Rune Cyphers to unlock.

Rune Codex

The Rune Codex tracks rune knowledge and progression.

It includes:

  • rune discovery progress
  • rune rarity information
  • partially revealed rune descriptions
  • progression tracking

The Codex reflects what the player has actually learned about runes.

Build Tools

RuneDelta includes several in-game tools for build experimentation.

Interfaces include:

  • Rune Codex
  • Rune Builds planner
  • Rune Metrics statistics page
  • Boss HUD

Rune Metrics tracks:

  • rune proc attempts
  • successful activations
  • forced activations

This allows players to analyze and refine their builds.

Gameplay Loop

Typical progression:

  1. Collect Rune Fragments
  2. Infuse fragments into rune books
  3. Apply runes to gear
  4. Discover rune properties through use
  5. Upgrade runes to higher tiers
  6. Invest points into mastery trees
  7. Defeat bosses to obtain powerful runes

Rune fragments can be obtained through:

  • mining
  • mob drops
  • fishing
  • dungeon loot
  • villager trades
