SableImpact
SableImpact allows your physical objects to strike the world! Your ships smash, break, and destroy blocks upon impact using their weight and inertia.
About this Mod
ATTENTION! Development of SableImpact is temporarily on hold due to real-life matters and upcoming exams. The project will likely resume around the end of summer 2026. Thanks for your patience and understanding! :(
SableImpact is a mod powered by the Sable engine that allows your physical objects to realistically interact with the world. Now, any contraption you create possesses mass, speed, and kinetic energy, enabling it to crack, crash, and destroy the environment around it!
Important Notes:
Development Status: This mod is in early development. Please note that the code was primarily written with the assistance of AI (Gemini). While the code works and the concept is solid, perfect optimization and a bug-free experience cannot be guaranteed just yet.
Destruction Mechanics (Version 1.0.0): The current release focuses solely on how objects impact the world. The physical contraptions (your ships) do not take damage or break upon collision yet; they act as a battering ram based on their inertia. We are actively working on adding self-destruction in future updates!
Dependencies & Compatibility:
To use this mod, you only strictly need the Sable engine. However, to fully unlock the potential of SableImpact and truly bring your creations to life, it is highly recommended to play it alongside Create and Create: Aeronautics!
For Developers:
SableImpact is fully Open Source! You are more than welcome to use our physical collision logic as a foundation or API to create your own mods and addons.
