About this Mod
Safe Zone Mod for Fabric 1.21.1
Create protected territories in Minecraft! Place 4 Safe Zone Blocks in a rectangle to create a safe zone that prevents hostile mob spawning. Each zone remembers who created it and displays territory ownership messages.
Safe Zone Mod lets players claim territory by placing special blocks. When 4 blocks form a rectangle, they create a protected zone that:
- Prevents hostile mob spawning (zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers, illagers, drowned, etc.)
- Displays territory ownership when players enter
- Protects full height from world bottom to top
- Saves automatically and persists across server restarts
Core Functionality
- Safe Zone Block: Redstone brick-like block with particle effects
- Territory Creation: Place 4 blocks to form rectangle/square corners and create your own safe zone
- Territory Ownership: Each zone remembers who created it and shows "[PlayerName]'s territory" when entered
- Spawn Prevention: Blocks hostile mobs from spawning inside zones
- Full Height Protection: Zones protect from world bottom to world top
Territory System

SafeZone server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is SafeZone compatible with fabric?
SafeZone officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with SafeZone – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SafeZone consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
