Recycle your useless loot into raw materials

About this Mod
Have you ever found your inventory full with useless dungeon gear?
That one huge modded dungeon left you with a ton of random gear? Not an issue! Grab your trusty salvaging hammer and crack all of that armor into tiny pieces!
What does this add?

One item, the Salvaging Hammer.
It allows you to recycle items made of materials like iron, gold and diamond (configurable) back into those same materials.

To use the hammer, simply hold the item you want to salvage in your off-hand and right click with the hammer in your main hand. Tadaah! You just turned that useless golden chestplate with unbreaking I and curse of binding into gold ingots!
Balance philosophy
The current way of recycling items in Minecraft invloves using a furnace to smelt iron and gold gear down into nuggets. It is a niche mechanic and not worth it most of the time. With my mod this problem is solved.
The right clicking salvage method added by the mod is hard to automate because it requires manual player action. Whereas furnace recipes are useful since they can be used in fully automatic farms that do not require such player action.
The mod is primarily aimed at heavily modded playthroughs, but use it however you like!
Configuration
The mod is highly configurable, with config options for :
- What kind of materials can be salvaged out,
- What is the chance of a succesful salvage,
- Blacklist for items that forcefully disallows salvaging.
Future Updates
Cosmetic changes - The salvaging hammer will be changed into an item called the salvaging toolbox. Mechanically it will be the same. The only change is that reacts to what you have in your off hand, e.g if you have a chestplate it shows a hammer, if you have a compass it shows a screwdriver etc.
**You can use this in your modpack!
ENJOY!

Salvaged server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Salvaged compatible with neoforge?
Salvaged officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Salvaged – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Salvaged consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
