Save State
Rewind time when you die
Screenshots

About this Mod
Adds a classic game-style save state. When you set your spawn (at a bed or respawn anchor), a save is created, and when you die, instead of respawning it reloads that save as if time rewound.
⚠️ Warning: The mod deletes and manipulates files. I do not recommend using this on a world you care about, in case something goes wrong and your world is deleted or corrupted.
Support
Only works in singleplayer because I couldn't think of a good way to handle save states for multiple players. If you want a savepoint-style mod that works in multiplayer, see Save Point (of course, the functionality is not the same)
It should work with mods that add other ways to set your spawn, however it may only work the first time depending on how the mod is written, whereas vanilla beds and respawn anchors can be used multiple times.
Inspired by Undertale (I know there are plenty of games with a save system, but I think Undertale's is particularly notable)

Save State server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Save State compatible with fabric?
Save State officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Save State – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Save State consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
