About this Mod

Scaling Difficulty is a port from Globox's RpgDifficulty.

This mod increase the stats of the mobs over time and distance.

Only Server-Side required

Highly Configurable
  • startingFactor: Overall baseline multiplier (1.0 = vanilla stats, 2.0 = double stats).
  • startingDistance / startingTime: The delay (in blocks or minutes) before the difficulty begins to scale.
  • increasingDistance: Blocks needed to increase strength by the distanceFactor (e.g., 300 blocks = +10% stats).
  • increasingTime: Minutes needed to increase strength by the timeFactor (e.g., 60 mins = +5% stats).
  • heightDistance: Blocks above/below startingHeight needed to increase strength by the heightFactor.
  • maxFactorHealth / Damage / Protection: The absolute maximum multiplier allowed (e.g., 2.0 = max double stats).
  • maxFactorSpeed: Max speed multiplier (Applies only to Special Speedy Zombies).
  • allowRandomValues: Enables randomized stat variations on spawn.
  • randomChance / randomFactor: The % chance for a mob to mutate, and the maximum % variance of those stats.
  • extraXP: Dynamically calculates bonus XP drops based on the mob's active strength multiplier.
  • maxXPFactor: The maximum allowed multiplier for XP drops (e.g., 2.0 = double XP max).

How to Install Scaling Difficulty on Your Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
