About
Sea of Treasure is a mainly roleplaying/decorative datapack that adds treasure, skulls, trinkets and other items from Sea of Thieves. You can collect, wear, display and use these items from the pirate game
Config
To toggle certain optional features, type /function sot:_config into the chat
Features
- Treasure Hunting: Explore the world and find treasure in chests, dig them up from suspicious blocks, barter and kill mobs.
- Ambient Treasure: Some items will come with passive effects like slowing down players, displaying beacons that go up high into the sky, and the Chest of a Thousand Grogs giving you nausea. (This can be configured to turn it on/off)
- Functional Treasure: Some treasure can be used as weapons when right clicked. Kegs can be detonated and will even cause chain reactions between one another, traps can be thrown to catch unwanted visitors, blunderbombs and other throwables can be thrown to cause mayhem, and some skulls will spew flames and curses.

How to Install Sea of Treasure on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.8).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Sea of Treasure". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Sea of Treasure server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.8). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Sea of Treasure compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Sea of Treasure officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.5, 1.21.4. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Sea of Treasure – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Sea of Treasure consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
