About this Mod

The SeasonalSurvival mod is for players who want to spice up their game slightly, by adding a seasonal aspect to their survival experience. Prepare in the first 10 days in order to more easily survive your first season (winter) (think about heat and light). The mod is server-side, but can both be played in singleplayer or on a dedicated multiplayer server. This mod was inspired by recent videos that highlighted the need for Minecraft to have a inner effect by bringing in a nagging need that leads to more creativity. Pre-existing singleplayer worlds are not affected by this mod, as a checkbox needs to be clicked on the world creation screen in order to have access to this new type of challenge.

Frequently Asked Questions

SeasonalSurvival server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is SeasonalSurvival compatible with fabric?

SeasonalSurvival officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.3. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with SeasonalSurvival – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if SeasonalSurvival consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
