Shao's Projectile Lib (Shaolib)
Shaolib is a high-performance library mod designed to optimize projectile entity handling and physics calculation in Minecraft. Built with performance and scalability in mind, it introduces the Shaojectile framework, allowing for efficient raycasting, movement logic, and reduced network overhead for high-velocity entities.
Key Features
🚀 Performance Oriented
- Optimized Physics: Replaces standard entity ticking with a streamlined raycasting engine tailored for projectiles.
- Chunk Caching: Includes a performant chunk caching system to speed up world data access for raycast calculations.
- Network Optimization: Utilizes lightweight packet synchronization to handle thousands of projectiles with minimal server lag.
🔄 CBC Swap (Create Big Cannons Integration)
This mod includes the CBC Swap module, a comprehensive enhancement for Create Big Cannons.
- Entity Replacement: automatically replaces standard CBC shells with optimized

Shaolib server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Shaolib compatible with forge?
Shaolib officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Shaolib – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Shaolib consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
